Intermediate.—A. K. Drew v. E. Carter; R. J. Carter v. L. Ransom. L. Ransom, who has left the district, has defaulted to R. J. Carter. Junior.—L. A. Sadler v. T. R. Willis; S. Rich v. J. G. Mitchell. The draw for the Consolation Handicap, to be played to-morrow, is as follows: —R. F. Scott v. R. Mackay; A. T. Shaw v. M. Willis; John Tricker v. R. O. Dalrymple; W. Pearce v. G. Bertram; F. S. Collier v. I. T. Webster; S. W. Ingram v. G. D. Flower; H. J. Hendry v. H. A. Signal; L. V. Homes v K Field; N H. Glennie v. scorer. GENERAL NEWS. Sole's circus appeared here on Wednesday night, and attracted a full tent, patrons being well pleased with the long and varied programme submitted. Last night the R.S.A. “Ladies’ Evening” was held in the Town Hall, and the monthly meeting of the Town Board was held in the board’s office. This evening the committee of the Rangitikei Racing Club will meet to appoint officials for the coming racing season, and to draw up the programme for the race meeting next month.
