COUNTY GAMES DEMPSTER TO FORE FINE BATTING “DOUBLE” LONDON, June 4. C. S. Dempster, the former New Zealander, again showed fine form with the bat in the LeicestershireGloucestershire match in the county cricket championship series which was completed to-day. He made 133 and 154 not out, and Armstrong also made a century lor Leicestershire. Hammond contributed a double century to Gloucestershire’s score, and Neale also passed 100. Others who made centuries in the series were Cox (Sussex), Hutton and Leyland (Yorkshire), Arnold (Hampshire), and Watson (Lancashire). Among the most successful bowlers were Nicols (Essex) and Verty (Yorkshire).
