CAGE BIRD SHOW

ENTRIES MORE THAN DOUBLED The officials of the Wanganui Canary and Cage Bird Club are very pleased with the entries received for the second annual show which is to be held on Thursday and Friday of this week. Nearly 400 birds will be exhibited—aproximately 2b times as many as was the case last year. The show will be opened by the Mayor. All breeds of canaries will be well represented while the varied coloured budgerigars will be a great attraction. At least one bird of the yellow-wing green variety will be benched. In the finch section some of the more uncommon birds will be seen—such as blood-finch, star-finch, grass-finch, and African ribbon-finch. The club is deserving of congratulation for the progress made in the short time it has been in existence and the show should prove of interest to old and young alike
