DISAPPOINTED CROWD NO APPEARANCE OF STARS Disappointed at the non-appearance of stars from the American Marcus Show Company, the capacity audience at the Wanganui Highland Pipe Band's concert last night at the Majestic Theatre nevertheless sportingly accepted the explanation tendered on behalf of the organisation. The programme was filled gallantly by Mrs. G. W. Perrett, who was encored for her solos, Miss Joan Peters, who obliged with several Highland dances, and Miss Patterson, who proved a favourite with her elocutionary items.
