Knowing that aeroplanes often dropped pro; -an.’a exhorting peace, Fakir Ipi promised his followers "the infidels’ bombs shall become paper.” Nevertheless, when a ’plane subsequently flew over fear overcame their faith and tribesmen scuttled to cover, but when the rustle of falling leaflets replaced the expected explosion the hillmen knelt in awe about Fakir Ipi, praising Allah “who turned the bombs into paper.”
