RHINELAND FORTRESSES
A GERMAN ADMISSION BERLIN, March 9. The first admission of the fortification of the Rhineland was made by Major Jost, of the War Ministry, In an article commemorative of the first anniversary of the re-occupation. He said: “Without a slavish imitation of the French Maginot Line, needing many years and countless millions to create, the German frontier territory now enjoys again to-day the protection of fortresses.” GERMAN’S PENAL CODE
i NEW ONE BEING DISCUSSED DEATH FOR BETRAYAL OF HITLER BERLIN, March 10. Cabinet discussions believed to be confined to a new penal code providing for the death penalty for twentythree crimes, including betrayal of Herr Hitler, disclosure of State secrets, disloyalty or other political offences.
