CONGRESS PARTY’S STRENGTH MADRAS, March 8. The Presidency elections resulted in the Congress Party securing 159 out of 215 seats in the Legislative Assembly, and 26 seats in the Legislative Council, consisting of 46 elected members and eight to ten nominated members.
