arrangements for pageant. THE NORTH ISLAND FIXTURE. Various matters in connection with the official North Island aero pageant to be held in Wanganui next month were discused at a special meeting of the Wanganui Aero Club's pageant committee to-night. Those present were: Messrs. J. R. Franklin (chairman), J. Strachan, J. Aidworth, S. G. Whittali, D. Lethbridge, E. M. Silk, Snelling, J. Sullivan, C. C. Brownie, and Dr. Kenrick Christie. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. A. S. Burgess, G. Williamson, and Gibson Hughes. Some discussion arose over the provision of electric power and a loud speaker, the following committee being set up ot deal with the question: Messrs. A. S. Burgess, president, S. G. Whittali, and the secretary. The Auckland Aero Club wrote regretting that the pageant clashed with its branch pageant to be held at Rukuhia, and it was decided to advise them that the pageant could not i possibly be postponed further. The Auckland Club also wrote sanctioning the aerobatic display to be given by Flight-Lieutenant Allen, provided application is made through them. G. H. Pegley, of Petone, has been engaged to make three parachute jumps and one dummy test drop at the pageant. Attempts are to be made by the committee to have a flying Flea on exhibition during the clay.

It was agreed that the public should be admitted to the aeroplane parking area at the conclusion of the programme in order to obtain a closeup view of the machines. The New Zealand Railways advised that excursion fares and train services would he amended to suit visitors. It was stated that one of the Union Airways air finers would attend the pageant and be available for passenger flights. The Wanganui Garrison Band will provide music during the day and transport to and from fho aerodrome is to be arranged by the Club.
