VISITING ARTISTS ’ INTEREST IN SURF WORK Regret that the itinerary of tne tour mapped out for their- company prevented them from making contact with the Australian suri team, due in Wanganui next Monday, was expressed by Messrs George Wallace and Will Miller, of the visiting revue company, in the course of a chat with a “Chronicle” representative last night." “Mr P. K. Foster, of the Bronte Club, is a neighbour of mine," saici Mr Miller, who asked that greetings be conveyed to Mr Foster on his behalf when the Wanganui visit eventuated. Mr Miller is a life member of the South Steyne Club and was foundation member of the Surf LifeSaving Society. It was ascertained that Mr Wallace, who is a member of the Nortn Steyne Surf Club, holds bronze medallions for which he qualified in both surf and still-water competitions. He was also a member of the junror alarm reel championship team for some years, and on one gala occasran gave an exhibition of life-saving af the famous Collaroy Beach when tne club was launched there.
