WANGANUI CLUB SATURDAY’S RESULTS The Wanganui Greyhound Racing •Club held another successful series of trophy and trial races on the Puriri Street course over the week-end, when some thrilling and dose finishes were witnessed by a good gathering of greyhound enthusiasts. The trophies won during the afternoon were kindly donated by Messrs. Palamountain and Riding. The results were as follows: Mr. Palamountain’s Trophy Club Hurdles.—Miss M. Holly’s Wait and See 1, Mr. H. Ford’s Rose Pink 2, Mr. J. Walsh’s Tiny 3. Won by eight lengths; five lengths. Mr. F. Riding’s Trophy Al Class.—Mr. E. E. Holly’s Swagger Mick 1, Mr. F. H. McCartney’s Flying Tackle 2, Miss M. Holly’s Wait and See 3. Won by one and a-half lengths; U lengths. A Class.—First heat: Mrs. F. H. McCartney’s Royal Feast 1, Mr. J. Crothers’ Vintage 2, Mrs. H. Ford’s Smoke Bellew 3, Mr. J. Walsh's Irish Smiles 4. Won by three lengths; four lengths. Second heat: Miss M. Holly’s Wait and See 1, Mr. H. Higg’s Movie Star 2, Mr. H. Ford’s Rose Pink 3, Mrs. J. Crothers’ Heritage 4. Won by four length; one and a-half lengths. Final: Mrs. F. H. McCartney’s Royal Feast 1, Miss M. Holly’s Wait and See 2, Mr. H. Higgs’ Movie Star 3, Mr. J. Cpothers’ Vintage 4. Won by one length; three lengths. In a race for dogs that finished third and fourth in the heats the following was the result:— Mr. F. Riding’s Trophy.—Mrs. H. Ford’s Smoke Bellew 1, Mr. J. Walsh’s Irish Smiles 2, Mrs. J. Crothers’ Heritage 3, Mr. H. Ford’s Rose Pink 4. Trial Races. First Trial.—Mr. E. E. Holly’s Swagger Mick 1, Hrs. F. H. McCartney’s Royal Feast 2, Mr. H. Higgs’ > Movie Star 3, Mrs. J. Crothers’ Heritage 4. Won by one and a-quarter lengths; four lengths. Second Trial.—Mr. F. H. McCartney’s Fliyng Tackle 1, Mrs. H. Ford’s 1 Smoke Bellew 2, Mr. J. Crothers’ Vintage 3, Mr. J. Walsh’s Tiny 4. Won by two and a-half lengths; three lengths. The afternoon concluded with the presentation of trophies to the successful dog owners.
