ARAMOHO SCHOOL
"JAN, OF WINDMILL LAND” TO-NIGHT’S PRESENTATION Instead of holding the usual break-ing-up concert, the Aramoho School is this year presenting in the Duchess Theatre, what might appear a somewhat ambitious effort. The picturesque and colourful two-act operetta, “Jan of Windmill Land,” has been rehearsed assiduously and will be staged to-night. This operetta comprises some very harmonious singing, clever dancing and witty dialogue, in which the performers have been assiduously trained for some time by Miss M. M. Gower, the music specialist of the staff, and have certainly shown tremendously keen interest in their study of the fascinating plot. All are well dressed for their respective parts, and tne stage will present a very colourful scene, with its eighty to ninety performers adorned in Dutch costumes of almost every imaginable hue. The singing of those taking the leading parts is expected to earn warm appreciation, and those attending may fell assured of a good evening’s entertainment. During the evening the chairman of the committee. Mr A. E. Halligan, will present proficiency and other awards, including a silver cup to the dux of the school, Dennis Benbrook.
