CENTENARY OF STATE PAHIATLAS INTEREST PAHIATUA, Dec. 12. The South Australian centenary has a special interest lor Pahiatua in view of the fact that local residents are descendants of the State’s tirst Governor. Admiral Sir John Hindmarsh. He has been invited to be present at the anniversary reading of the proclamation ceremony at Glenelg on December 26. A party, comprising Mrs. Stanley Bolton tnee Hindmarsh i. grand-daughter of the Admiral, her son. Captain Bolton, and her nephew. Mr. J. Hindmarsh Napier, and Mrs. Bolton's children, leave for Sydney by the Wanganella on Tuesday. It is recalled that Admiral Hindmarsh served with Nelson in the Battles of the Nile. Trafalgar, and Gibraltar, having a distinguished record. Later he was Governor of Heliogland which was afterwards '■cded to Germany.
