THE BODY IDENTIFIED DEATH OF BOARDING-HOUSE PROPRIETOR. I Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. A body found under Grafton Bridge was identified as that of Thomas Watson, aged 35, boardinghouse proprietor, of Ligar Place, Grafton. His wife is in hospital and he had been depressed over her continued illness. He left home on Sunday and had not been seen since. MAGISTRATE’S SUGGESTION PLAN TO PREVENT SUICIDES. [ Ter Preus Association. ] AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. “I find further that, in view of the large number of persons who cast themselves from this bridge, it is desirable that some obstruction be placed above the concrete railing, such as five strands of heavy barbed wire at intervals of four inches and tightly stretched,” was a rider added by the coroner (Mr. Wyvern Wilson) at the inquest to-day on Thomas Edward Watson, 35, apartment house keeper, whose body was found underneath Grafton Bridge yesterday morning. The evidence showed that his wife was in a maternity hospital, and gave birth to a child a week ago. Watson appeared to be in good health when last seen on Sunday evening. The coroner found that the evidence was insufficient to show how he came by the fall.
