DOMINIONS GOODS
FREE ENTRY TO BRITAIN BRITISH INDUSTRIAL VIEW. Received Nov. 25, 8.25 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 25.. Discussing the principle of the unconditional free entry of most manufactured goods from the overseas parts of the Empire, the Federation of British Industries decided to urge the British Government to assume powers to withdraw this right if abnormal competitive conditions arise or if imports of such goods tend 1o undermine British industries in the
Home market. “It should be remembered that some Dominions have already similar powers which are invoked against goods from the United Kingdom,” states the Federation. However, the Federation does not consider that it would be often necessary for Britain to invoke the power.
