NINE DUELS

CHALLENGES BY A DOCTOR BUDAPEST, Nov. 24. Seeking to vindicate the honour of his wife, about which it was alleged aspersions had been cast, Dr. Francis Sarga, who challenged nine men, fought the first two duels with pistols secretly in a stubble field in the outskirts of the city. His first opponent was wounded in the arm and sent to hospital. In the second duel both missed and the pair were reconciled. The duels were necessarily hurried, as peasants flocked to the scene immediately the news spread. Sargo does not intend carrying the remainder of the duels further immediately, as the police are watching.
