The Rev. Father J. A. Higgins, ol Wellington, was a week-end visitor tc Wanganui. Mr and Mrs G. A. Best, of Englann are visitors to Wanganui, and arc guests at Foster's Hotel. Mr. A. Haworth has been notifiec that he has been elected a country member of the Wellington Stock Ex change. Mr R. R. Deane, of the staff of the Public Works Department at Wanganui, has received notice of his transfer to Hamilton. Mr and Mrs George Brown, ol Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, are visitors to Wanganui, and are guests at Hotel Braeburn. Mr and Mrs J. W. Deem, formerly of Wanganui, have taken up their residence at Inglewood. Mr Deem is an ex-director ot the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture. Mr F. Rowan, of the Wanganui I Airport staff, returned to Wanganui | yesterday after taking a two weeks’ jcourse in ground engineering at the Wigrarn aerodrome.
