HOTEL DESTROYED
BLAZE NEAR GISBORNE I Per Press Association] GISBORNE, Nov. 8. Late on Saturday evening a spectacular blaze was witnessed at Ormond, 10 miles from Gisborne, when a two-storey wooden hotel of 22 rooms, the Ormond Hall next door, and a portion of the saleyards were completely destroyed. Several boarders in the hotel were informed by the owner and licensee, Mr. V. S. Bolton. All escaped hurriedly with the loss of practically all personal effects.
