PUBLIC WORKS LOAN
£7,500,000 ISSUE IN AUSTRALIA CANBERRA, Nov. 7. The Loan Council has arranged with the Commonwealth Bank to underwrite a loan of £7,500,000 at 31 per cent, interest. The issue price ii £97 10s and the term 15 years, with an effective yield of £3 19s 4d. The major portion of the money is to be devoted to public works in the different States.
