KING’S CORONATION
JAPAN'S ROYAL DELEGATE TOKIO, Oct. 19. The Emperor has appointed his eldest brother, Prince Chichibu, to attend King Edward's Coronation. NO JAPANESE BUNTING DUNEDIN'S DECISION [Per Press Association] DUNEDIN, Oct. 20. “As far as the council is concerned it will not consider using Japanese bunting at the Coronation celebrations,” stated the Mayor (Rev. E. T. Cox), referring to a Palmerston North message, with the spirit of which he concurred. The Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr Marlow) also agreed that it would be deplorable to use anything pot British. Already local firms are laying in a large stock of bunting, all of English manufacture, though the Japanese article is 25 per cent, cheaper.
