BRITAIN’S SERVICES IN SPAIN [British Official Wireless] RUGBY, Oct. 19. Mr. Anthony Eden has received both through the Netherlands Minister in London and His Majesty’s Minister at The Hague expressions of gratitude for services rendered to Netherlands subjects in Spain by His Majesty's Government. EMPIRE MIGRATION TWO MOVEMENTS MERGE NEW BODY’S OBJECTIVE LONDON, Oct. 19. The Overseas Trade League has merged with the Empire Migration Settlement Group under the title of the “Empire Migration Settlement Movement,” with a view to stimulating migration coupled with properly organised and adequately financed settlement within the Empire. Mr. H. D. Donaldson, joint organising director of the movement, told the Associated Press that thousands of applications from prospective migrants had been received before the amalgamation. Those interested... in migration were fed up with the lack of Government results, and felt that nothing would be done till there was the co-operative effort of every voluntary body in Britain to speed on the Government's action. Official circles do not oppose the new body. It is known that many leading citizens are behind the move.
