SALE AT DANNEVIRKE The New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders’ Association held its 16th annual sale at Dannevirke on Wednesday under favourable conditions. Prior to the sale a competition I was held for the Wright, Stephenson, I and Co., Ltd., and the Southers H.B. •stock Auctioneers’ Association cup, ’and the Aberdeen Angus Breeders’ | prizes. Mr. Clinton C. The bulls came forward on good condition and competition was keen. There was a full bench of buyers, representative of all parts of New Zealand, and bidding was brisk. The top price of 201 guineas was made by Waterman, of Waiterenui, offered on account of the Estate A. S. G. Carlyon, and was purchased by Mr. J. A. Mitchell, of Longburn. The average price for 73 lots sold was 66 2-3 guineas, which must be considered as very I satisfactory. The individual prices and averages are given hereunder: — On account of C. G.
