ATLANTIC AIR RACE
PARIS TO NEW YORK FEW RESTRICTIONS PARIS, Oct. 12. There will be virtually no restricI lions imposed on pilots end ’planes ir the Paris-New York air race next year. Certificates of airworthiness wil to be required. The race will b< confined to land ’planes, each carrying a wireless receiver and transmitter. The distance of 3645 miless must be completed in 40 hours. Prizes will he £5OOO, £3OOO and £2OOO. A Paris cable dated August 21 stated that the Air Minister, M. Cot announced that an air race frorr Paris to New York was being organised for May 21 next year in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Colonel Lindbergh’s trans-Atlantic solo flight.
