RUSSIAN VERSION

MANCHUKUO FRONTIER INCIDENT LONDON, Oct. 13. The Ruslan version of the shooting on the Manchukuo frontier is that trespassing Japanese first opened fire against Soviet troops. Later, at the village of Salbakori, a Japanese and Manchukuoan force ambushed Soviet troops. In each instance the Russians forced the invaders to withdraw. The Soviet Charge d'Affaires has demanded prosecution of the offenders. A Tokio message states that Soviet troops fired on a Manchukuo patrol at Yankuanping. Four Manchukuoans were killed and five wounded. Reinforcements were immediately sent and the contending forces were stated to he only 400 yards apart.
