MONTHLY MEETING The above society held its monthly committee meeting on Monday in Duigan’s Rooms. Mr Strouts presided over a good attendance of members. A motion of sympathy was passed to the late Mrs White, patroness of the society, and also to the late Mrs Babbage. Jt was decided to write a letter of thanks to the Archdeacon Young and Rev. Lambert, for co-operating, with the request of the R.S.P.C.A., London, and observing Sunday, October 4. as Animal Sunday. Ministers of other churches were approached, but did not respond. Friday, October 9, is to be street collection day, and arrangements were discussed for same. The date of the next committee meeting is to be arranged later.
