SEAFIELD CLUB ANNUAL TOURNAMENT YESTERDAY’S RESULTS Although free from the heavy rain of Thursday, competitors in the Seafield tournament, which was continued yesterday, had to contend with a southerly gale, which not only made conditions unpleasant, but also accounted for the substantial margin enjoyed by the “Colonel” in most of the cards handed in for the bogey matches. The following are the winners of the matches:— Morning Round. (Senior.) A. R. Kitto and B. Power, each 6 down. A. R. Kitto won on the count back. Junior. T. E. Lovegrove, 1 down. A. B. Currie, 5 down. Afternoon Round. (Senior.) I. Manley, 7 down. D. L. Blythe, 7 down. I. Manley won on the count back. In the afternoon, match play in the respective divisions was commenced. This morning these events will be advanced a further stage, when the following matches will be played:— Seafield Amateur Championship. A. R. Kitto v. A. D. Kitto. R. B. Carr v. R. F. Kitto. Springvale Handicap. H. Collier v. S. Powdrell. K. McFarlane v. D. L. Blythe. Consolation Handicap. T. E. Lovegrove v. A. Hunter. A. G. Mackay v. I. Manley. This afternoon the finals will be played. In conjunction with the morning round a medal match will take place. This medal match will also decide the winner of the visitors' cup, which is open to members of outside clubs who played in the two qualifying rounds and who have not won a chief event in the tournament. A four-ball bogey match will conclude the main portion of the programme this afternoon. On the following day mixed Canadian foursomes will be played over eighteen holes, both morning and afternoon. Members ot other clubs are cordially invited to take part. A nominal entrance fee only will be charged. Trophies for the two leading pairs in each round. MAXWELL CLUB FLAG MATCH TO-DAY A flag match will be played by the Maxwell Golf Club to-day, players choosing their own partners. WANGANUI CLUB FEILDING MATCH POSTPONED The Wanganui Golf Club’s match with the Feilding Golf Club to be played over the week-end has been postponed, the course not being playable owing to the heavy rain.
