WANGANUI ASSOCIATION MEETING OF COMMITTEE ANOTHER CONTEST IN VIEW At a meeting of the Wanganui Amateur Boxing Association committee last night it was decide! to communicate with various professional boxers with a view to the staging of another contest in a few weeks. After the bout on Wednesday night the contestants and the officials gathered at the Ritz for an informal supper and the presentation of trophies. Bob Coughlan, of Palmerston North, is reported to be keen on a light and he may be matched with Barney Downs. The latter won well on Wednesday night and should keep on improving. Patea will stage an amateur tournament to-night and some of the local officials are going up to keep an eye open for some likely boys for preliminary events.
