WANGANUI TENNIS SEASON

COMMENT ON PROSPECTS A bright tennis year is being looked forward to by enthusiasts in the Wanganui district. The “Chronicle,” commencing next Wednesday, will publish each week a budget of notes and comments on the game, and on players generally, from the pen of Mr A. Noble Campbell, the Wanganui professional. His notes last year occasioned a great deal of interest because of their fearlessness and constructive tone. Although the season proper is still a month or two away, players able to use hard courts are already getting into trim, and a commencement of the weekly tennis column in the “Chronicle” will add impetus to the preparations being made for a record season. One of the important subjects Mr Campbell n ill deal with on Wednesday will be the recommendation to appoint a sole selector to choose association teams.
