F. W. LUCAS, the writer of this article, who represented New Zealand as a three-quarter in 1923, 1924, 1925, 1928, and 1930. He played both wing and centre in Britain in 1924-25, the same and also as a five-eighth in South Africa in 1928. He appeared in only one Test in South Africa, the last. In 1921 he played against Ireland (centre), hut was not in the Test sides against Wales and England.— “Cross-bar.”
