TEN YEARS OF SERVICE

"pTIE Wanganui branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held its birthday yesterday afternoon, when it brought to a close a decade of social service of a very high order. The supply of bush nurses, the promotion of reading clubs, the development of educational weeks, and above all the experience gained by the members in executive work, have been very real gains to Wanganui and have thoroughly justified the efforts made by those who have guided the operations of this society from its inception down to the present day. It is a happy augury for the future that on its tenth birthday it should be so well supported by its own members and that the association with women’s organisations are felicitous.
