GUARANTEED PRICE

“QUITE REASONABLE” TE AROHA VIEW i l Fer Press Association. ] [ TE AROHA, Aug. 24. It was reported at the annual meeting of the Te Aroha-Thames Cooperative Dairy Company that 2696 tons of butter had been manufactured, and that the turnover was £286,923. The chairman of directors stated that the guaranteed price for butter was quite reasonable. The main point to concentrate upon was efficiency, both at the farm and the factory. That rising factory costs were not a deterrent was shown by the following increases:—Chairman of directors, from £lOO to £2OO, plus travelling expenses; directors, from 25s to £2 2s per meeting, plus travelling expenses; auditors, from 50 guineas to 100 guineas.
