OHAKUNE

FOOTBALL. At Ohakune on Saturday, Raetihi managed to draw with Ohakune, the score being 12 all. Raetihi scored first, R. Smith crossed in a difficult position to get a goal. Ohakune turned the tables and Gardiner scored in a handy place, the kick being successful. P. Bryers was the next to get across, bringing the figures up to, Raetihi 6, Ohakune 5. Larsen made a brilliant kick at goal and brought Ohakune's score up to 9. Joe Bryers sent the ball to Harvey, who crossed the line and made Raetihi 12 points. Ohakune, as the result of a desperate struggle scored another try just before the sounding of the whistle by Mr. Brady, the referee. DENTAL CLINIC. At a meeting of the committee of the Dental Clinic, Mr. Lambert was appointed secretary. The next meeting of the committee will be held on September 3 and thereafter every third Wednesday in the month. Mr. Carver was in the chair and there were five ladies and three men in attendance and apologies were received from two other members.
