DANGEROUS PRACTICE

SNOWBALLING OF CARS QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. [l’cr Press Association] WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. When the House of Representatives met at 2.30, Mr. T. H. McCombs (Government, Lyttelton) asked the Minister of Transport if his attention had been drawn to reports of snow-balling of motor-cars and the danger involved in such practice. Hon. R. Semple said he had seen the report and he recognised the danger of the practice. He said the police already had power to take proceedings against such offenders, but in order to tighten up the law he would go into the matter with the Commissioner of Transport.
