FILM COMEDIANS
“MISS PACIFIC FLEET.” “Miss Pacific Fleet.” comes to port, next Wednesday with that famous quartette of film comedians, Joan Blonde] 1, Glenda Farrell, Hugh Herbert and Allen Jenkins heading a cast that includes hundreds of gobs and marines. The picture is based on the rollicking comedy by Frederick Hazlitt Brennan, and is not only hilariously funny, but carries a humorous love triangle between Miss Blondell. Jenkins and Warren Hull, the radio star, who has the romantic role in the production. Miss Blondell and Miss Farrell are teamed as a couple of wise-cracking chorus beauties who I run a concession at an amusement I park on the Pacific Coast. They are put out of business through the caneringing skill of. Jenkins. Hugh Her-1 bert promoles a beauty contest, which ; includes a prize fight with 5000 votes • awarded the winner to give to his girl friend. This is staged between Jenkins, who has fallen in love with the chorus beauty, Miss Blondell, and one of the local pugs.
