EGAIONT-WANGANUI HUNT CLUB. A meeting of ladies interested in the Egnic-nt-Wanganui Hunt Club was held on Friday afternoon to discuss arrangements for the annual ball, the date of which has been fixed for July 17. A ladies’ committee was elected as follows: —Alesdames Simmons, Brewer, Lesley, Gray, Laird, Alisses Lupton, Graham and McGregor. Later the men’s committee joined the ladies for general discussion. It was decided to raise the price of admission from 10s a do ole ticket to £1 Is and men 12s, ladies 9s. In accordance with this decision a knife anti fork supper will be served with accompanying delicacies, and later in the evening hot soup will be supplied. Air. T. Lupton was elected to be responsible for the claret cup anangenients. .It was resolved to en; — n ‘ Godson’s’- Orchestra, Palmerston North, to supply the danee music. The subject of advertising was discusse" 1 and final arrangements were left to- Messrs. T. Lupton and J. Gray. H was decided to engage a supervisor and i'&ur waitresses lor the supper room. The supper arrangements were left in the hands of Mesdames Brewer, Gay, Laird, Mcßae and Miss Lupton. Misses 11. Simmons and A. Graham were elected to be responsible for the decorating of the hall and Mrs. 8. Besley for the supper tables. Mr. J. Sheahan was elected chief M.C. with the following committee: Messrs. 1. Lupton, N. Davidson, R. Watkins, G. Watkins, G. Lesley, C. Southcoinbe. The men’s committee will meet the ■adies in the town board room at 3 p.m. on July 3, to discuss further arraugePERSONAL. Miss N. Lupton is the guest of Miss V Shackleton, Hunterville. Mr. and Mrs. Newlauds, who have been visiting Samoa, have returned. Mr and Mrs. D. Sneddon, Putaruru, are the guests of Mrs. Elmslie, “Hillside.” ... Miss Mary Kennedy, Kanor, is the guest of Mrs. J. Gray. Mr. and Mrs. R. Lennox have returned from holidaying in Auckland.
