CHRISTCHURCH BOUT REEKIE KNOCKS OUT WAIDE. END IN THIRD ROUND. ( Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26. The professional lightweight, boxing contest between “Kid” Reekie (Australia) and “Ginger” Waide (New Zealand) wunt only two and a halt rounds, Reekie knocking Waide out with a right hook to the head. Reekie had scored well with right hooks and jabs in the first two round. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds.
