WANGANUI GUN CLUB MONTHLY SHOOT HELD CUTHBERTSON CUP CONTEST Following are the results of tne Wanganui Gun Club’s competitions on Saturday:—

First miss out, dub handicap. —R. E. Cuthbertson. First miss out of 24yds.- C. Kempton. DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB MR. F. SOLER'S TROPHY. The Wanganui Defence Rifle Club competed recently for another trophy, donated by Mr. F. Soler. The scoring was not of a high order, the light conditions at 600 yards being very difficult. The winner proved to bv Kflni. W. Howard, whose score of 91 off the rifle was a good performance, llflm. 11. Hedges was again to the fore, scoring a possible 50 at 300 yards. With, the days growing shorter the committee I have decided to bring the season to a close on {Saturday next. A. trophy shoot will be held, the ranges being 800 and 900 yards. The coinmitte-e would like to see a good muster at 1 p.m. on the range to bring the season to a successful close.
