HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETINGS ELECTIONS OF COMMITTEES RESULTS AT FURTHER CENTRES. Election of school committees took place at meetings of householders held on Monday night. Results of such elections at a number of Wanganui centres were published yesterday and on Tuesday. Below appear results at further meetings held at various parts of the district and received too late to appear in yesterday’s issue or on Tuesday: LONG ACRE VALLEY. The meeting at Long Acre School was I presided over by Mr. XX'. H. F. Lock, and the following committee was elected: Messrs. G. A. Hogg, W. E. MeGrail, R. W. Golding, A. L. C. Kemp ton and S. C. Crawford. The committee elected Air. Kempton as chai r ma’i and secretary. GREATFORD. The meeting of householders at Greatford was presided over by Air. G. Lewis. The following committee was elected: Alessrs. Geo. Lewis, G. Corliss, J. Cowie, J. Winohcombe and L. Stantaill. The committee elected Air. Geo. Lewis as chairman, and Air. E J. Winchcombe as secretary. REWA. • The Rewa School election resulted in the following committee being set up for the next two years: Alcsdames 11. Sowerby and A. Barre, and Alessrs. D. Smith, J. Cuming ami A. E. Penfold. Mr. D. Smith was subsequently 1 elected chairman and Airs. A. Harro 1 secretary. UTIKU. The attendance at Utiku for the election of a school committee was disappointing, only a few people attending. The report and balance sheet disclosed a satisfactory position. Resolutions of appreciation of good services of retiring members, Alessrs. Reid and Terry, were carried unanimously. Air. S. Reid presided. The following committee was elected: ( Messrs. 11. R. Thorn (chairman'), G. E. Gibbs, E. <Gibbs, A. R. Potaka, and • W. A. O ’Con nor (secretary).
