EUCHRE TARTY On Monday evening a euchre party was held in' the supper rocm of the Waverlev Town Hall to augment the funds of the lately reorganised fire brigade. This party was the first of six to I be held on Monday evenings, and it is I hoped they will be well supported. As i it is Easter Monday next week the! party will be held ou Wednesday evening instead. PERSONAL .Mrs. H. Heginbotham and her mother, Mrs. Marriott, are visiting Wellington. Miss McLean, of Alasterton, is the of her sister, Mrs. Little ; “Raithby Farm.” BADMINTON CLUB The newly-formed Waverley Badminton Club held its opening on Monday evening in the Town Hall and there was a full attendance of members. Most of the members were new to the game but all were most enthusiastic and the two courts were in play till a late hour. The club’s nights are Mondays and Thursdays, but owing to the coming Thursday being late night the club will play ou Wednesday instead. WAVERLEY CROQUET CLUB Members of the Waverley Croquet Club held their annual meeting on Monday afternoon. There was a large attendance. On behalf of the club Mrs. Pepper presented the president, Miss Cheyne, with a beautiful bouquet of autumn flowers and thanked her and the other office-bearers for their untiring work during the past season.
