WANGANUI SPORTS CLUB The following notes cover the club’s activities of the last three months. Unfortunate.y weather conditions have not been ideal. The Waikanae Beach racing coincided with a cyclone, anu the j-mile grass track meeting war abandoned owing to the death of His Majesty the King. Members competing in both these •events. Three reliability trials haxe been run off, the iast being th-e inter-club trial competed lor by the Orion (Palmerston North l , Rangitikei (Marton), and Sports (Wanganui) Motor Cycle Club 1 . This year the venue was at Marton, and final placings, Orion J, Sports 2, Rangitikei 3. The route was verysevere on both rider and machine, covering a great deal of clay tracks and grass roads in poor condition afivr the rains. Several picnics have been held at Ilantei'ilie and Waveiley. A timed road run to Patea beach, a trip up Mount Egmont, two hill-climbs were h-eld at Thornton *e Hill, Pufiki, and several nips were made to the d'rt track at Palmerston North.
