GREEK POLITICS

CABINET FORMED DIFFICULTIES . OVERCOME Received Alarch 15. 5.5 p.m. ATHENS, March 13. M. Constantin Demerdjis has formed a Cabinet. The rec eat Greek elections resulted in a very even state of parties, th* Venizelists, together with small Republican parties, 142 seats ,the anti-Venize. lists 143. The Liberals were the largest individual party t with a strength of 127 scats. A deadlock arose both out of the even state of parties and the Royalist opposition tn the amnesty degree signed by the King for all political offenders. It was reported on March 5 that the King, determined to reign constitutionally, had threatened a second abdication rather than allow a military dictatorship to assume power, and the early construction of a. stopgap Cabinet by AL Demerdjis was expected to further ease the situation.
