DUMMY HARE OF SOLID RUBBER
USED IN LONDON DOG RACING. The new dummy “hare” in London can be caught, but not eaten! In appearance it is an almost perfect rcjilica] of a live hare, but is made of solid | rubber of such a composition that although sharp teeth will Lite into it j deeply there is. no danger of an> particles breaking away and being, swallowed by the dogs. As usual, the new design of hare permits it to be thrown off the travel mechanism for the dogs. Tn addition, reports London News of the World, the coupling design allows thp dummy to jump slightly and to move from side to side in a live hare manner. This new hare will supersede the inflated dummies used previosly—a type which often burst when bitten.
