COUNTRY BALL
SUCCESS AT TORDELL COMPLETION OF HALL CELEBBATLIU Many years ago settlers and residents of the Fordell district banded themselves together to build a public hall, of which the district stood in need. When the hall was built a temporary stage was erected until the day should come when the hall could be extended and a permanent stage adder This ambition has been realised and on Thursday night people came from far and near to celebrate the completion of the hall and to fill it with a bright, happy dancing throng. The walls had been almost covered with native greenery and flowers, and the new large stage decorated with ferns and hydrangeas. A special feature of the' ball was the wonderful supper provided by the committee, generously assisted by many residents of the district, which' was served on small decorated tables placed around the hall. Music contributed by the New Gaiety Orchestra added greatly to the success of the ball and to the pleasure of the dancers. Among those present were:—Mesdames K. A.
