CLERGY TO PROTEST SYDNEY. Feb. 22. “We are arranging for a deputation ; to wait on the Premier, Mr Stevens, [before he leaves for England next i month, to protest against organised [sport being permitted on Sundays.” said Rev. W. H. Jones, president of the Council of Churches, yesterday. “It was only recently mentioned that further sporting competitions should he conducted on Sundays and this has added fuel to the fire of opposition to the desecration of the Sapbath.
