SELF INFLICTED WOUNDS [ P«r Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Jan. 16. The 1/ody of Hugh Malcolm Ma(P pherson, aged 54 years, district constable at Te Whaiti, was discovered early this morning in a whare near his residence, with a discharged revolver lying beside the. body. Deceased left a note declaring hi* intention of taking his own life. The inquest was held during the afternoon. Evidence was given by deceased’s wife, who said deceased lately had been very depressed and wa« worried regarding his health. The coroner returned a verdict ot’ death from self inflicted wounds.
