Average: 2827 cows, 788 milk, 4.7 test, 37.61 fat. RIFLE SHOOTING. CLUB TROPHY. Members of the I’atea Rifle Club held their first club trophy shoot on Saturday last. President P. Palmer topped the score off the rifle with 49 out of a total of 50. The system of automatic handicapping has been adopted by the club this year, with the consequence that there will be no limits to any of the ranges. Rifleman R. Misses Z. and E. Walker, Wanganui, are the guests of Mrs. Beamish. Mrs. Corliss and family, Wanganui, are visiting Mrs. Bremer, Whenuakura. Mr. and Mrs. A. Brooke-Taylor. Hastings, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Brooke-Taylor, Cambridge Street. Mr. C. O. Scott, of the teaching staff of the Patea School, has received notice of his transfer to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Tompkins, and Miss K. Tompkins, Hamilton, arc spending a few days with Miss Tompkins, Plunket Rooms. Mrs. W. Paterson leaves on a visit to her parents in Timaru, early in the New Year.
