WEDDING WIGHTMAN—CROZIER A wedding of interest to the residents of the district was solemnised in the Auroa Hall, Palmerston North, on December 2G, when Nancy Rose, the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wightman, “Cliff Farm,” was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to David Roberts Crozier, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Crozier, of Palmerston North.'

The bride, who entered the hall with her father, was charmingly attired in a cream isatin frock, maue on slim-fit-ting lines. The bodice was designed with a cowl neckline, long sleeves pointed over the hands, and finished with pearl buttons, the skirt being slightly trained. The veil, which was of handworked tulle, was fitted to her head with a coronet of orange blossom. Bhe wore shoes and stockings to tone, and carried a shower bouquet composed of cream sweet peas, roses, Canadian fern, and. finished with long streamers oi cream eatin ribbon.

The bride’s sister, Eva, who acted as bridesmaid, looked very dainty in a frock of floral su-ede taffeta in pink and blue tonings, made on slim-fitting lines with knife-pleating on the bodice to form a bolero effect. The skirt hem and sleeves were finished with knife-pleating. Bhe wore hat,, shoes, stockings and gloves to tone, and carried a showed bouquet of pink and blue sweet peas, carnations, Canadian fern, finished with bow and streamers of pink and blue satin ribbon. After the ceremony the weddingbreakfast was held in the Royal Dutch Lounge, tho bride’s parents, who were assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, received the guests at the head of the stairs.

Mrs. Wightman was dressed in a beech-nut brown frock, with beige tucked georgette trimming, and brown coatee, hat, shoes, gloves, stockings, and carried a posy in autumn tonings. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed in a chocolate-brown frock, with accessories to tone, and carried a posy of red carnations and fuchsias. Speeches were made by Mr. J. Lewie (who acted as best man), Mr. McClcod, Mr. W. Whale, and Mr. Gilding. Songs were rendered by Mrs. Manins and Mr. Eric Gilding. The happy couplo left for > Auckland where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride travelling in a navy costume, hat, shoes, gloves, pink blouse and carrying a navy handbag, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom’s gift to the bridesmaid was a Xylonite dressing-table set. Among the guests were: Mr. and Mrs. W. Whale (Masterton), Mr. ami Mrs. McCleod (Dannevirke), Miss E. Harrison (Wauganui), Mr. and Mrs. J. Adams (Feilding), Mrs. Church and children (Marton), Miss Hardings (Marton), Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Ellery and Mrs. Jar'vie (Opiki), Mr. J. Ellery snr. (Bulls). Miss Grace Crozier, (sister of the bridegroom) officiated at the organ. The bouquets were made and given by Miss I. Ellery (cousin of the bride). PERSONAL Miss Frances Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson, has received advice by air mail from London, that she has been awarded the Diploma of Fellowship of Trinity College of Music, London. Miss Anderson already holds diplomas as Associate of the Trinity and Royal College of Music, of London, Mt. E. Simpson and Mr. G. W. Richardson intend spending the holidays on a fishing trip at Kapiti Island. Mr. and Mrs. Tozer and their two children, and also Master Graham McIlroy, of Taumarunui, are the guests of Mrs. J. W. Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Sadler and their two daughters have left on a camping tour of Rotorua and the northern districts. Mr. G. Richardson,, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mr. A. J. Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Masters’ son, Tommy, has entered hospital for an operation, and his many friends wish him a speedy recovery. Misses Nellie and Jean and Master Eric Masters- are on holiday at Tangimoana with friends.
