JAMES’ THEATRE. “BREWSTER’S MILLIONS.” Final proof—if any be needed —that British films can claim equal status with Hollywood’s best, is to be found in the triumph of Jack Buchanan’s “Brewster’s Millions,’’ coming to St. James’ Theatre. For the first time E'stree has produced a super-musical which in every respect reaches the veryhigh standard set by producers like Samuel Goldwyn. No previous British musical has had such catchy tunes, such lovely girls, and such a succession of riotously funny episodes. Hugh Walpole, Author. Admirers of the work of Hugh Walpole, the distinguished novelist, have an opportunity to see one of his finest works come to life on the screen of the St. James Theatre this week in “Vanessa: Her Love Story,” fourth and last of his books dealing with the spectacular Herries family, Helen Haves and Robert Montgomery are the co-stars.
