DOMINION CRUISE
NEW ZEALAND WARSHIPS [ Per Press Association. J AUCKLAND, Dec. 30. At the end of January all warships of the New Zealand Division of tue Royal Navy will be absent from Auck land. The two imperial sloops will leave on their summer cruises to New Zealand ports early in the new year, H.M.S. Leigh., commanded by Captain Oliver Bevir, sailing on Friday, and H.M.S. Wellington, commanded by Commander J. B. E. Hall, on January 6. A New Zealand cruise will also be made by H.M.S. Dunedin, flagship of Commodore Hon. E. R. Drummond. She will leave on January 29 and visit Kuesel Napier, Timaru, Bluff, Stewart Island, West Coast sounds, and Wellington. No advice has yet been received at Devonport naval base as to the probable date of the arrival of H.M.S. Achilles, which is to replace H.M.S. Diomede now cn special service under the Admiralty. However, it is thought that the New Zealand cruiser should normally be in Auckland by August t the latest.
