MISHAP TO JEAN BATTEN AVIATRIX SLIGHTLY INJURED [By Telegrapk—Press Association—Copyright] Received Dec. 29, 7.5 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 28. Miss Jean Batten, flying her transAtlanti’c ’plane to London from Southampton, experienced oil trouble and while attempting a forced landing in a field at Midhurst, struck a hedge top. The ’plane was slightly damaged and Miss Batten suffered slight concussion and shock.
