The Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting was concluded at Ellerslie today in glorious weather before a fair attendance. The track was in splendid order and the totalisator handled £21,132 10s, against £19,603 on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £1529 10s. TWO HORSES DOPED ONE DIES AFTER EXERCISE SYDNEY, Nov. 29. Two racehorses whose chances were favoured at the Moree Gold Cup meeting are alleged to have been doped yesterday. One horse, Blunt Edge, collapsed after exercise and died, and the other, Hoihu Ra, was driven almost frantic on the course and had to be withdrawn from the, race. there is a chance of his recovery.

OTAKI MAORI RACING CLUB THE SUMMER MEETING NOMINATIONS DUE TO-NIGHT The Otaki-Maori Racing Club has issued a programme for the summer meeting, which is to be held on Saturday of next week, December 14. The principal event is the Rere Nekitini Memorial Stakes, to be run over a mile and a-quarter for a stake of £l4O. Nominations for all events are to close with thq secretary at 8 o’clock tonight.
